So for instance, I chose 1280x720, so 720 minus 73 is 647. Y resolution here should be whatever vertical resolution you chose minus 73. Change it to -56.0 and it should align properly with every resolution.Ĭhange both the x and y coordinates to what you see below. The default for both of the y coordinates are 544. Place it in the \Commandos3\Data\INTEFAZ\ directory, and, with a text editor like Notepad++, alter it as such: To do so manually, you'll need an INTERFAZ.MSB file (any of them that I've included above will work). When you're done, save the file and move on to fixing the interface. Hexadecimal codes for common resolutions can be found in this thread on the Widescreen Gaming Forum.

Of them, replace 20 03 (800) and 58 02 (600) with the resolution of your choice. You will need a hex editor such as Be.He圎ditor. Resolution, for instance), read the sections below.
COMMANDOS 1 MISSION 9 PATCH
To patch the executable yourself (if you want to try a different Share this fix with your friends or donate via PayPal (if you're so inclined) at the bottom of the page. There are likely other issues as well, especially in multiplayer, so let me know if you find one and I'll see if I can do something about it.Į-mail me with questions or comments. Hitting escape will get you out of the help box. The Help box does align itself properly, but its title (Help) and the text for the Close button do not, and again, I haven't been able to solve that.
COMMANDOS 1 MISSION 9 HOW TO
I've looked the INTERFAZ file up and down and unlike most of the other screen elements, it simply doesn't appear to be there, so I have no idea how to align it. The Objectives box does not align itself properly to the extreme upper right of the screen. For the time being, it looks like you'll have to stick with the full screen viewport from the beginning, or stick with whichever one you switch to. The game crashes when returning the viewport (F2) back to full screen. Extract that one to the \Commandos3\Data\INTENDENCIA\ directory (again, you'll likely have to create it). The red mission title banner is also misaligned so I've created a file that blacks it out if you'd prefer. Download the fix, choose your resolution, and extract it to the \Commandos 3\Data\INTERFAZ\ directory (you'll have to create it) and then rename the file INTERFAZ.MSB. If you rename it, make sure you back up your original in case you want to use it again.
COMMANDOS 1 MISSION 9 UPDATE
Just extract the resolution you want to your Commandos 3 directory and either rename it Commandos3.exe or update your shortcuts. NOTE - From feedback I've received, it appears that 1280x800 may be the highest stable resolution for Commandos 3 with these fixes.
